Education and Early Career
Dr. David D’Apolito received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) with Honors from UMDNJ/New Jersey Dental School, graduating in the top 10% of his class. Prior to dentistry, he was a Registered Pharmacist and graduated with Honors from Northeastern University, College of Pharmacy. He earned a Certificate in Hospital Pharmacy from the National Institutes of Health, where he served as a Clinical Pharmacist and officer in the US Public Health Service.

He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society.
Advanced Training and Awards
Dr. D’Apolito holds a Postgraduate Certificate in the Diagnosis and Management of Orofacial Pain and TMJ Dysfunction from UMDNJ. His awards include the American College of Stomatologic Surgeon’s Award and the Italian Dental Society of New York Scholarship Award. He also has a special interest in Reconstructive Dentistry and publishes the trademarked newsletter “Tooth or Consequences.”
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of dentistry, Dr. D’Apolito is a big fan of sports—especially football, soccer, basketball, baseball, and hockey. His favorite teams include the Buffalo Bills, NY Red Bulls, NY Knicks, NY Yankees, and NY Rangers. He’s also a huge Syracuse Orange supporter. He enjoys snorkeling in the Caribbean, fantasy sports leagues, and has a Black Belt in Taekwondo along with training in Hapkido and Shotokan. He walks 15 to 20 miles per week as part of his regular fitness routine.

A lifelong resident of the Woodbridge area, Dr. D’Apolito practices just a mile from his childhood home and high school. With over 34 years in practice, he’s deeply committed to treating patients with a personal, relatable approach.

One of his favorite professional highlights was being featured in a TV news special filmed at his office by ABC’s Eyewitness News. Anchor Roz Abrams described him as “The dentist of your dreams,” and praised the experience as one that could “bring you to another world.”
